We are a group of poets and writers who know how vital it is for people to be able to express their innermost feelings and their most important ideas.
We have created an organisation to help other people to do that. We call ourselves The Bradford Poetry Foundation.
We are based in Bradford City Hall, Norfolk Gardens, Bradford, BD1 1UH.
We offer a free 10 week course in creative writing, mostly poetry, to anyone who we feel will really benefit from it. This 10 week course will involve 10 tutored sessions as well as one-to-one tutorials and personal mentoring.
During the course we will explore various aspects and techniques of contemporary poetry such as rhythm, rhyme, form, subject matter, voice, the importance of reading, editing and inspiration. At the end of the course you will be able to see some of your work published in an anthology produced in-house by our resident publisher. You will also have the opportunity to perform some of your work at a public Poetry Reading . In this way we are offering a spring board into the world of poetry.
The course will run from the 11th of April until the 27th of June, 2018, every Wednesday evening, from 7-9pm at Bradford City Hall
